for good.
Overview
This page explains how to request deletion of your MyLoo account and the personal data associated with it. MyLoo (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the MyLoo mobile application, a personal digestive-health tracker. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Option 1: In the app (fastest)
- Open MyLoo on your device.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm the prompt.
Your account is deactivated immediately and all server-side personal data is irreversibly removed within 30 days.
Option 2: By email (if you no longer have the app)
Send an email from the address associated with your MyLoo account to support@myloo.org with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify ownership of the email address and complete the deletion within 30 days. No app installation is required for this route.
What gets deleted
All personal data linked to your account is permanently removed, including:
- Account data: email address and authentication credentials (including the link to Sign in with Apple, if used).
- Entry data: all logged entries, Bristol type, color, symptoms, optional notes and timestamps.
- AI vision fields: all values derived from photos (volume, texture, moisture, color uniformity, undigested particles).
- Onboarding selections and tracking-mode preferences.
- Push notification token, if reminders were enabled.
Photos
Photos are never uploaded to our servers. They are stored only in the app sandbox on your own device. They are removed when you delete them in Settings or when you uninstall the app. No server-side action is needed for photos because we never hold them.
What is retained, and for how long
- Personal data: none. Everything listed above is irreversibly deleted within 30 days of the request.
- Subscription / purchase history: managed by the Apple App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat, not controlled by us. Purchase records on your store account are governed by the respective store and are not deleted by this request.
- Aggregated, anonymized logs with no personal identifiers may be retained for security and abuse prevention. These cannot be linked back to you.
Timeframe
Deletion is completed within 30 days of the request. In practice the in-app route deactivates the account immediately. There is no recovery period: once deleted, the data cannot be restored.
